Responsible Guest- May Your DOG Recommend You?

FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF TWO DOGS - Mishkin and Antigona telling the story

Don't ask us anything, our travel companion and tour operator often complains that when she is trying to book selected accommodation, it is better to say that she has a bubonic plague than she is taking two dogs with her.

Although more and more people have pets and would be happy to take them wherever they go, it's still little bit complicated and need some extra planning.

Sometimes this is due to various prejudices and sometimes because of bad experiences.

One lady in which house we were staying told us that she had a bad experience with one guest and his dog.
The guest was leaving his dog alone in the room all day, so the unfortunate furry fellow messed up the apartment pretty much.

But it is not us, the four-legged who are to blame for such a negative impressions.

We are social beings and we don't like to be alone for long periods. And we have our own needs, indeed.

Well, let's just say, we're both great!

Not only because we are most beautiful and the best companions to our two-legged friend, but also because of the fact that we are:

A. Clean and neat.

B. We never slam the doors and turn the music so loud.

C. We do not steal towels and soaps from the rooms and apartments.

D. We never got drunk and made a damage by breaking inventory.

E. When we go for a walk, we always bring one person with us to clean up when we get the job done.

F. We always carry with us our own cots.

G. We are not characterized by unrealistic demands. When we are in a cafe for example, we never ask waiter to make us smoothie with avocado spiced with a pinch of Himalayan salt, but always clearly ask just a bowl of water - what will you do easier?

WOF, WHAT ELSE HOSTS, HOTEL AND RESTAURANT WORKERS MAY DESIRE?

So, you get it, we are responsible guests - you should be too!

Antigona- Paw traveller
A. Make a positive impression wherever you travel and stay.

B. Do not act arrogantly and do not have unrealistic demands.

C. Don't make noise. Respect other guests, owners and staff.

D. If you break a glass, for example- report it.

E. Don't take anything from the places you stayed, exept beautiful memories and photos.

F. Bring your trash with you. Keep beaches, forests and canyons clean. Leave behind you a better place for the people who live there and a better place for visitors in future.

G. Leave a review after your trip. Comments like this help other travelers to create a picture of accommodation and destination, and help hosts to improve their services.

8 affordable accommodations on your favorite destinations in Greece

Paw traveller Planning a holiday on your own can be a hassle for someone and a challenge and joy for someone else.  We have been traveling for years by finding accommodation on our own , asking questions directly to the accommodation providers and negotiating prices. Long time ago we choose this method primarily to find exactly what we needed, and also because of the fact that the Paw traveller group is made up of two four-legged travellers, which we do not always but often take with us on holidays. If you are also taking your furry friend with you, read the post  Responsible Guest- May your DOG recommend you? In this search for the perfect accommodation that will satisfy specific taste of your hairy companion, the   Pet friendly map of Greece  may also be helpful. In this post we present you affordable accommodations with links where we stayed and were satisfied with the price/quality ratio.
