Magical MESSINIA- PELOPONNESE- Part One

MESSINIA- southwestern PELOPPONESE- village of CHRANI Paw traveller- Methoni- Messinia We have been thinking about visiting  Peloponnese for several years, but we could not fit all the dices together. Sometimes it was about finances and sometimes it was impossible to get vacation at work ... however, we finally came to the point where all the dices came together and the fairytale called Messinia started writing itself. And our journey has begun, we started our trip from Belgrade to the village of Chrani in Messinia in southwestern Peloponnese. This tour takes about 15 hours in one piece, but we took an overnight break in Kamena Vourla, about 900 km from Belgrade, so that the next day we would arrive at our destination some 500 kilometers away, rested and in no hurry. Paw traveller- Kamena Vourla beach Kamena Vourla is a coastal town- spa located in a narrow area between the sea and Mount Knemidas that rises steeply behind the town. It has a long and wide street- p

Prague - what to see and visit in one day?

Prague- Paw traveller Prague - beautiful, fairy-tale city, with magnificent architecture, phenomenal sculptures, cobblestone streets, incredible towers, church walls… all of these together makes that this magnificent city do not leave anyone indifferent.  The only negative impression we have brought from Prague is the exchange offices. And because this was the only minus we will start this post from this point. The first thing you will need when you arrive in Prague is the exchange office, and if you thought you would change your money here like anywhere in the world, you are totally wrong! Prague- Paw traveller We got burned immediately upon arriving in Prague, exchanging one hundred euros for which we received twenty euros less than it should have been. Now, you wonder how… are we stupid or what? The exchange office was right in the heart of the city on a very busy street, with a zero percent commission and currency exchange rate on the board, but ... bellow, in the

Belgrade - what to see and visit in one afternoon?

Belgrade- Paw traveller An afternoon tour through Belgrade which combines gastronomic delights, history and Orthodoxy, sports and walks in nature. I imagine you're in the downtown, thinking about a great night out in the good clubs on the banks of the rivers from last night, and now you need just to sit down to have a plate of soup and taste something from authentic Serbian cuisine before you continue on a tour around Belgrade and its surroundings. If you are tired of visiting restaurants with modern interiors, artificial dishes and fancy drinks, and if you want to feel the spirit of old times, go to Zlatno burence - a real Belgrade bohemian inn, one of the few that kept the authentic interior and domestic atmosphere.  The old local dishes and excellent Serbian cuisine are served here , for which most of us have forgotten that exists on the restaurant menus. This legendary Belgrade inn exists since 1866, and when was opened it was situated on the ground house, and was

7 Super Sandy Beaches of Mainland Greece

What is a great super beach for someone depends mostly of the traveler itself. Someone like wide, open beaches with tons of amenities and someone like privacy and hidden coves. Someone else prefers sand and someone prefer pebbles, there are also lovers of shallow or deep waters, lovers of rocks ... However, nature has given us diversity and it is up to us to choose what pleases us.  These are my favorite sandy beaches of mainland Greece! Sani- Paw traveller Sani- Chalkidiki At the beginning of the first finger, along the sand dunes area, there is a shoreline with a magnificent 7 km long Sani beach. The beach is sandy with very fine white-gold sand, and the waters near the coast are shallow and calm which is ideal for young children. The beach is not organized (except the part in front of the hotel) and you won't meet a bunch of drunk teenagers at the beach bars you can see so often in some islands and coastal cities in Greece. This is a place to rest in peace and qu

7 Days of SIESTA- Mouries, Dionisiou and Sani Wetlands

Dunes Sani wetland I've been sitting with a friend who had been on Halkidiki  at least a dozen times , just having a coffee and chatting about Greece and I realized that although he visited this region so many times, he had never heard of the Sani wetlands in Kassandra. Well, here's the motive for this post. We discovered this fantastic place in September 2016 and will gladly return to it again, but first about the Mouries- the place we were staying during our visit. As it was our second vacation that year, we were looking for a more affordable option. And the choice fell on Dionisiou Beach. We found cheap accommodation in Mouries, small village between Nea Flogita and Nea Moudania. View from the terrace- Paw traveller The house is located just two hundred meters from Dionisiou Beach and has  beautiful view of Thessaloniki Bay. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet and completely calm vacation and search for peace after a busy active

Responsible Guest- May Your DOG Recommend You?

FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF TWO DOGS -  Mishkin and Antigona telling the st ory Don't ask us anything, our travel companion and tour operator often complains that when she is trying to book selected accommodation, it is better to say that she has a bubonic plague than she is taking two dogs with her. Mishkin & Antigona- Paw traveler Although more and more people have pets and would be happy to take them wherever they go, it's still little bit complicated and need some extra planning. Sometimes this is due to various prejudices and sometimes because of bad experiences. One lady in which house we were staying told us that she had a bad experience with one guest and his dog. The guest was leaving his dog alone in the room all day, so the unfortunate furry fellow messed up the apartment pretty much. But it is not us, the four-legged who are to blame for such a negative impressions. Dog siesta time- Paw traveller We are social beings and we don't like to b
