Traveling by car with a dog? Yes, definitely!

 If you're just one of those two-legged who can't leave their lovable furry friend behind when they go on their next trip we will help you keep your dog happy and healthy on the road.

At the very beginning, let it be known that we contribute to your peace of mind and overall happiness, so we really see no point in losing some of that zen feeling if your furry friend can't accompany you on the adventures that travel brings.

The two of us frequently travel by car and often travel thousands of kilometers, so we consider ourselves experienced enough to give advice on this topic!

We are small and this doesn't apply to the two of us as the windows are out of our reach, but... keep your head and paws inside!

Our furry friends enjoy it when their head sticks out of the window, but this is not really recommended because it can cause an ear infection or expose the peeking traveler to a cold, so instead of enjoying the beach, they will rush to the vet stations and go for therapy for days.

If it's the first time you're going further afield and if he's not used to driving, prepare your best friend by taking a few short trips first and gradually increasing the time in the car so he can adjust to longer adventures.

It's best to feed your buddy a few hours before the trip instead of feeding him while driving. The floor mats of your car will be thankful!... But don't forget that we must never be thirsty and we must have water available.

If you are crossing national borders, be sure to pack your pet passport and vaccination certificate. Probably no one will ask you anything, but you never know when you will need it.

If you are leaving your car, don't leave your best friend in it because when the weather is hot, the temperature in your car can rise dramatically within just a few minutes.

Partially rolled down the car window has little effect on the temperature, so if you really have to do something, do it quickly, and ask someone to keep your friend company for a few minutes.

Keep in mind that your best friend may not necessarily be welcome at the hotel you've booked, even if the management has benevolently labeled the hotel as pet friendly. Be sure to do good research before traveling and make arrangements with the hotel in advance noting the breed and weight of your furry friend as there may be restrictions.

If possible choose a room on the ground floor as the toenails can make noise upstairs and disturb the neighborhood below, not to mention the noise your mate may make due to his early morning needs. In any case, a room on the ground floor or with a direct entrance would be ideal.
